Concerts are no longer events where music fans can dance to the songs of their favourite artists. They can also contribute to societal change. This is at least the aim of artists like Justin Bieber and Billie Eilish.
On February 18, Justin Bieber began a world tour of more than 90 dates across 20 countries. To promote social change among his fans, he collaborated with the American organisation known as Propeller to encourage attendees to take concrete measures to save the environment.
The 20-year-old Billie Eilish has also included a political component to her “Happier Than Ever” tour. She partnered with Reverb to make her shows as respectful of environment as possible. All of these initiatives were launched to encourage young people to adopt a more sustainable way of life.
