‘Renaissance’ by Beyoncé is a dance album to revive the world of music

Titled ‘Renaissance’, Queen Bey’s latest record is a mix of party songs that have been created to bring life back to the world. It is a shoutout to the electronic dance music genre formed in the 1980s by queer, middle class and black singers and communities.

Composed of 16 songs, Beyoncé’s new album is full of tracks to dance to and embodies freedom and creativity. It contains references to Donna Summer, Giorgio Moroder, James Brown as well as Robin S.

The superstar has announced that ‘Renaissance’ is the first out of a 3-part project developed during the three years of the Covid-19 pandemic.
